Exploring a more expressionistic style. I’m liking where it’s headed.
day 3, this is what I’m bringing to critique on wednesday so hopefully it is received well. I would like to do more with the clothing but I don’t have time.
day 2, I am still deciding what to do with the hand that looks like a blur of purple stuff…but other than that, it’s going smoothly.
being forced to work in such a short amount of time is changing my handling of the paint a lot, so this is an interesting experiment that I may use in future pieces.
New painting, First layer of progress.
Some progress on the current work….still dunno what this one will look like in the end but the flesh looks fleshy, so that’s good.
Update.
Back from Florence. Back to the studio. I have a lot of class work, and a good number of commissions to try and balance. I will try a lot harder to keep this updated from now on. I just made stretcher bars, stretched a canvas, and primed said canvas. It’s pretty large and I am starting on it next week.
I kind of like the progress shots so I will probs keep doing those.
I also have numerous drawing projects started.
I probably won’t post much or any of my photography.
